Timing is everything, as they say. But no matter the timing, Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship with Travis Barker took many by surprise for a plethora of reasons. Perhaps no one was more thrown off by their union than her ex and forever doting baby daddy, Scott Disick. Still, that’s only speculation. Even more surprising, it seemed very quickly that the 41-year-old reality star and the Blink-182 drummer weren’t just seeing each other, but looked to be getting pretty serious.

Reportedly, those closest to Kourtney might’ve seen a relationship like this coming sooner or later. And now, it’s seemingly fell into place. According to People, Kourtney started dating Travis at a very crucial turning point in her life. Sources for the publication say she was ready for a “mature guy” and Travis turned out to be exactly what she was was looking for.

As previously reported, Travis Barker has been a family friend for quite some time. So while it might seem like their relationship happened overnight to some, her sisters probably had the 45-year-old musician on their radar long ago. And it sounds like they’re definitely supportive.

Do the Kardashians approve of Travis Barker?

A source for People claims that the Kardashian-Jenner sisters not only like Travis Barker, but “they love him,” especially as it pertains to his “mature relationship” with Kourtney Kardashian. That’s certainly how Kourt’s biggest fans feel as well.

Still, a romantic relationship wasn’t exactly what Kourtney had in mind, it seems. According to another source for People, the Poosh founder had been single for a while before linking up with Travis and “didn’t expect that their relationship would turn romantic.”

But in matters of the heart, that’s often the way it goes.
