You know it’s true love when there are tattoos of one another involved, and true love is apparently the name of the game for Kourtney Kardashian and her boyfriend, Travis Barker.
The reality star and the Blink-182 drummer’s relationship seems to be heating up pretty fast as Barker may or may not have gotten a tattoo dedicated to Kardashian late last week. But is this permanent marking a symbol of his undying love or is it something completely unrelated?
Did Travis Barker get a tattoo for Kourtney Kardashian?
According to People, Barker’s new tattoo is seemingly a reference to the Quentin Tarantino film True Romance, where the lead track is titled “You’re So Cool.” However, fans of the new couple aren’t too sold on the idea of this ink not being somewhat related to Kourtney Kardashian, so we did some hard investigating to solve this case.
Exhibit A, Travis Barker’s tattoo in question:
As shown in Barker’s Instagram post, he is seen self-inking the tattoo upon himself, which rules out the theories that the Kardashian inked the drummer herself. Yet, that still leaves the question of the font of the tattoo.
Exhibit B, Kourtney Kardashian’s handwriting!
In February of this year, the couple made fans gush uncontrollably as they took love back to its basics and the pair gave each other handwritten love letters. The love letter from Kourtney in question can be found below.
We’re no graphologists by any means, but even so, let’s compare handwritings, shall we?
In comparing both Barker’s tattoo and the love letter written by his boo, it is clear to see that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star doesn’t capitalize her letters except for at the beginning of a sentence. Her Ls are lowercase in the letter, but the tattoo shows uppercase Ls as well as Rs, meaning that it most likely isn’t her handwriting.
Now that all the evidence has been presented, we have come to a final verdict. Our ruling is…the tattoo is probably a little bit of both True Romance-inspired and true love-inspired! (See what I did there?).
We bring your attention to the first evidence within Barker’s Instagram. The caption reads, “I like you, Clarence. Always have. Always will,” a quote that is said by the character Mentor in the Quentin Tarantino film.
Additionally, according to an interview he did with US Magazine in 2011, Barker stated that his favorite movie was, indeed, True Romance, meaning that the tattoo was most likely a tribute to his favorite movie.
However, we know that two truths can exist at the same time! Especially considering True Romance seems to be Kourtney and Travis’ movie. As E! News reports, Kourtney previously shared photos of the movie to Instagram back in January, to which Travis left the comment, “You’re so cool.”
Though Barker is giving a shout-out to his favorite film, he is also giving a shout-out to his favorite girl. Kourtney Kardashian serves as his muse because the reality star is that special someone that Travis likes.
