Is Caitlyn Jenner really running for California Governor?
By Cody Schultz
It seems Kanye West might have inspired Caitlyn Jenner in the most unexpected of ways.
As fans will recall, in 2020, Kanye decided to wade into uncharted waters when he entered the 2020 presidential election. Although Kanye did not win the election and now blames his decision to run for president for ruining his marriage, it seems his gumption inspired Caitlin Jenner to make a run for office as well!
According to a new report from Axios — which has since been confirmed by Deadline — Caitlyn is looking to trade in her Olympic Gold Medal for a key to the Golden State in making a run for California Governor!
That’s right, the rumors circulating across social media are true: Caitlyn Jenner is in active conversations with political consultants in eyeing a run for office. As sources report, with current Governor Gavin Newsom facing a recall election, Caitlyn is looking to run against him with an eye on becoming the state’s next governor.
What political party is Caitlyn Jenner part of?
While many members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have chosen to keep their political allegiances private, Caitlyn Jenner has been a vocal supporter of the Republican party in the past.
Should she choose to follow through with her plans to run for California Governor, it is therefore expected that Caitlyn would do so as a member of the Republican party. This makes sense given that current California Governor Gavin Newsom is a member of the Democratic party.

Funny enough, the last Republican Governor of California was actor Arnold Schwarzenegger who served as governor from 2003 to 2011 so it would seem Caitlin could very well succeed in her bid. What would be interesting to see is if any member of the Kardashian family steps up to support her bid for office or if it could end up being featured in a future reality series.
