Amelia Hamlin’s mom Lisa Rinna reacts to Scott Disick relationship on Instagram

A relationship isn’t official until you get your mom’s stamp of approval.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna, mother of model Amelia Hamlin, is usually full of opinions when it comes to speaking on current topics, however she had yet to say anything about her daughter’s relationship with a certain Kardashian‘s ex-boyfriend.

It’s only natural that mothers are extremely protective over their babies and Rinna is no exception to the norm. Finally breaking her silence, here’s what Lisa Rinna had to say about Amelia Hamlin and Scott Disick’s relationship.

How does Lisa Rinna feel about Amelia Hamlin and Scott Disick?

It’s safe to say that Scott Disick has gotten the mama’s stamp of approval. According to Entertainment Tonight, the reality star recently poked fun at her daughter and her boyfriend!

Lisa Rinna took to her Instagram Story to post a picture of Hamlin and Disick on a vacation in Miami, in which Disick is sporting a bucket hat. (Here’s the picture below in a tweet from OK! Magazine.)

Rinna captioned the photo saying, “Welp, we [Disick and Rinna] both seem to share a love of bucket hats,” which sounds like she is at least somewhat fond of her daughter’s newest relationship. See a screenshot of her post here.

Amelia Hamlin and Scott Disick were first linked together in October 2020 at Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party and around November 2020, the pair started going on dates together and eventually made their relationship Instagram official.

However, the pair’s relationship has caused a bit of a stir because of the 19-year age gap. With Disick being Hamlin’s senior, he received a lot of backlash about his choice in dating someone who is almost two decades younger than he is, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

Disick came under the same fire when he was dating his then-girlfriend, Sofia Richie, who he 15 years older. Despite all the criticism, the Flip it Like Disick star still stood by Richie and is doing the same with Hamlin now.

When asked about how Disick feels regarding his relationship with Hamlin, here’s what a source shared to Hollywood Life:

"Scott isn’t bothered by the backlash to their relationship, he really couldn’t care less what people think. All that matters to him is what his inner circle thinks. His friends and loved ones are fine with it and his kids really like Amelia so that’s what counts to him."

Hamlin doesn’t seem to mind either, which basically left the relationship’s future all in her mother’s hands.

With the constant backlash Scott has faced, many assumed that Amelia’s mom, Lisa Rinna, would have tons to say about the relationship and may not even approve of it. But it appears the Bravo star doesn’t mind what the public thinks, either.

It’s obvious Lisa Rinna wants to support her kids no matter who they decide to date, and she loves Amelia (and bucket hats) very much.
