Is Kim Kardashian going to appear in the next season of Netflix’s Bridgerton?

Kim Kardashian, 40, though maybe a little late to the party, has been swooning over the incredibly popular Netflix Original series, Bridgerton, and has documented her love of season one all over her social media accounts. But, has her love of the show secured her a role on season two of Bridgerton?

Bridgerton – starring Phoebe Dynevor, 26, and Regé-Jean Page, 31 – is a novel-inspired period-drama series that took the world by storm when it premiered in late December of 2020.

Celebrities and viewers alike have been captivated by its poetic grandeur which explores London’s high society through its opulence, romance, scandals and hardship.

Just like the rest of us, Kim Kardashian fell under the spell of season one of Bridgerton, and fans were delighted earlier this year to learn Kim’s reactions to the binge-worthy Netflix show when she shared her thoughts with her 215M Instagram followers.

In March it was reported by multiple outlets that 40-year-old KKW Beauty owner was having a fun night in with friends Steph Shepherd, 31, and Tracy Romulus, 41, drinking wine, binge-watching the period-drama and recording their reactions as they watched.

The star revealed on social media that she was watching Bridgerton for the first time, before uploading a series of Instagram Stories across multiple episodes, sharing her excitement and need for “the characters [Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset] to kiss”.

Kim wrote: “I’m not ok!!!! I can’t quit you @bridgertonnetflix,” and, “It’s finally happening!!!” – when Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page’s characters finally kiss.

But, Kim’s recent interaction with a particular member of the Bridgerton cast sparked questions among Twitter fans, some asking if Kim Kardashian is going to join the cast for season two.

So, is Kim Kardashian going to be joining the cast of Bridgerton for season two?

On Tuesday, 20 April 2021, Bridgerton‘s Nicola Coughlan sent fans into a frenzy when she addressed a tweet to the self-proclaimed “number one” fan of Bridgerton, Ms. Kimberly Kardashian, writing:

"“As the world’s number one @bridgerton Stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings? Because I feel like she should know this.”"

And it wasn’t long before Nicola’s tweet caught Kim’s attention, and her excitement was clear.

The KUWTK star replied:

"“WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!! This tweet was sent to me on my @bridgerton group chat! Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!”"

Many fans jumped at the idea of the KUWTK star joining the cast of Bridgerton, with one in particular writing: “Why does this make me so happy?”

A second added: “Duchess Kardashian of Calabassas has a nice ring to it.”

“Would love to see this!!!,” stated a third.

Nicola – who portrays Bridgerton‘s character Penelope Featherington, later revealed as the mysterious Lady Whistledown – replied to Kim:

"“Omg yesss of course we would love to have you! Also did you know that Mr Pearl made your corset for the Met Gala and the very next one he made was mine for Bridgerton? You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know.”"

To which Kim replied: “OMG I’m gonna faint!!!!!! Does this make me an honorary Duchess in Bridgerton ?!?!?!? I am the corset Queen!!!”

And the Bridgerton star then awarded Kim with the ultimate honor by naming her “the season’s true incomparable, tweeting: “Why of course, Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas! Lady Whistledown is happy to declare you the season’s true incomparable.”

“I will wear this title proudly and not let you down Lady Whistledown!” Kim insisted.

With the recent announcement that a third and fourth series of Bridgerton have now been commissioned, Kim’s dreams of being on the popular period-drama could be at a real possibility of coming true – however, as for whether or not the KUWTK star will be joining the cast for season 2?

It is very unlikely, at this point, that Kim will join the cast on the show for anything other than sitting in on a fitting, as the cast is already busy filming the second season of Bridgerton, which is rumored to be released in late 2021 or early 2022.

So, although Kim might not be donning the fancy frocks and tight corsets for the next season of Bridgerton, the hope is not yet lost! Who knows, maybe the Kardashian superstar will come out with her own period-drama inspired series for Hulu? Or, she could even have a cameo appearance on Bridgerton down the line!
