When you’re in the public eye, the shade seems to come from every direction. Whether it’s from fans or haters or even some not-so-friendly neighbors, there will always be an opinion or two for the way one lives their lives especially if you’re Kourtney Kardashian or Travis Barker.
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have been going strong for a few months now and one would think that the critics would have already aired out any woes they had with the couple, but it appears that there was one more skeptic we seemed to have ruled out.
In a surprising twist, a member of a musical group has decided to shade the relationship.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker dissed by Smash Mouth
Someone using the Twitter account of the American rock band Smash Mouth, famously known for their smash-hit “All-Star,” recently called out their fellow rock musician, and man, we weren’t expecting that.
Someone, presumably a member of Smash Mouth, took to the band’s Twitter and tweeted about Barker and the Kardashian’s relationship. Check out the critical message down below.
Now, it’s pretty unclear whether the member of the American rock band’s issue was more about Barker being talked about around the clock, or whether they had gripes with publications posting about Barker gifting Kourtney Kardashian some Mother’s Day flowers. (Perhaps, they read our article on the matter.)
Thankfully, Reddit fans also speculated on what the real issue could be.
One Redditor stated that “All bands think a sellout,” which is definitely a hot take considering the fact that Travis Barker is still pretty iconic in the music world and his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian definitely wouldn’t take away from all he’s accomplished as a successful drummer.
The overall consensus is that the Smash Mouth member is simply being petty and may even be a little jealous, and we wonder if Barker and his boo think the same.
Neither Travis Barker nor Kourtney Kardashian has said anything about the tweet, but if and when they do, we will be sure to keep you updated.
Hopefully, other bands like Green Day and My Chemical Romance don’t have a problem with Travourtney, too. (Still working on that ship name.)
