Brody Jenner not so subtly shades Kendall Jenner on Instagram

Kendall Jenner might be close with her sisters, but the same cannot be said for her brothers on her dad’s side of the family including her older brother Brody Jenner.

As Brody has confessed in the past, because of his strained relationship with Caitlyn Jenner growing up, he never really was able to form connections with his younger half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. It seems even as they got older the siblings never quite clicked with rumor having it that Kylie and Kendall didn’t even both RSVP’ing to Brody’s wedding. 

Needless to say, there doesn’t seem to be any strong sibling camaraderie between Brody and his half-sisters which is why fans couldn’t help but notice that in a recent social media post Brody seemed to throw some shade at Kendall’s 818 Tequila.

Taking to Instagram, Brody posted a poolside photo holding a can of Mamitas’ hard seltzer which he captioned, “I prefer REAL tequila in my seltzer.” Although Brody didn’t mention Kendall, many viewed the caption as a jab at Kendall’s new 818 Tequila company and stir the pot in creating some unneeded drama.

Did Brody Jenner really shade Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila?

It’s easy to read Brody Jenner’s Instagram caption and see it as a direct shot at Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila in a remark indicated to question the brand’s quality. Given their past, we definitely wouldn’t put it past Brody and the timing is definitely sus; however, it doesn’t appear this wasn’t a direct shot at Kendall, at least as far as we can tell.

The focus on the term “real” is actually part of the Mamitas branding which brands itself as “Hard seltzer made with REAL tequila.” Given Brody is obviously a supporter of the brand, his caption seems to simply be on-brand for Mamitas rather than being a direct bashing of 818 — though the timing and lack of context does seem super shady.
