Kanye West makes rare KUWTK appearance for Kris Jenner’s birthday despite being absent from Kim’s 40th island celebration

Kanye West, 43, – who is allegedly linked to Bradley Cooper’s ex Irina Shayk -made a rare KUWTK appearance last night, May 27, for Kris Jenner’s 65th birthday, but when it came to his wife, Kim Kardashian’s birthday? The “Gold Digger” singer gave it a miss – OUCH!

The rapper turned fashion designer, Kanye West is very well known for his extravagant ways and gift-giving, having famously given the SKIMS founder a giant flower wall, made of orchids and roses, for Valentine’s Day 2017, and on last night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, titled ‘Birthday’s and Badnews‘, the Flashing Lights singer, who only just made his first appearance of the final season of KUWTK, lent his fashion-forward expertise to, now estranged wife, Kim by adding the finishing touches to her “thoughtful and sentimental” gift for mom, Kris Jenner’s 65th birthday in November.

For Kris’ monumental 65th birthday, Kim Kardashian decided to “style 65 looks” to help her mom feel more comfortable and sexy as she gets older, having stated, while lunching with Khloe, Kourtney and Scott, during the episode:

"“As she’s gotten a little bit older, she’s gotten a little bit more insecure about her body so its harder for her to dress, so I’m going to have her come to my house and I’m going to have racks of clothes down the hallway, with mannequins that look like her. And I’m going to style 65 looks for her.”"

So after months of working in preparation for the surprise; buying incredible designer pieces and having them custom-tailored to her mom’s measurements and personal style, Kim was ready to present her gift to Kris, but not until it got its final seal of approval from perfectionist, Kanye West.

The episode revealed that Kanye helped to present the stylish gift for Kris Jenner by rearranging and restyling some of the 65 looks and the mannequins throughout the house.

“Kanye must have moved [these mannequins] around so many times just to make sure it looks really dramatic for when my mom walks in,” Kim said in the episode. Kanye could be seen putting a lot of effort into the finishing touches on the gift – which later went down a treat when Kris walked in – but when it came to putting in the same effort for his wife, Kim’s birthday, the 43-year-old rapper dropped the ball.

In the episode, which used footage from last October through November, Kim Kardashian decided to celebrate her 40th birthday in style by renting a private island for her nearest and dearest to soak up some well-needed sun and sea, after the world spent months in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic which devastated the world.

But one major player missing, from her island birthday celebration with her nearest and dearest, is none other than her very own (well…now ex) husband, Kanye West.

All of Kim’s friends and family made the effort to celebrate the KKW Beauty founder but the Heartless singer was noticeably absent from footage from the bash, though, he did arrange for a hologram of Kim’s dad, the late Robert Kardashian, to deliver a message for the KUWTK star.

And although he did not feature in any of last night’s island footage, the Yeezy designer reportedly flew in towards the end of the trip to spend a few days with Kim.
