Last week, we said goodbye to an era as the hit reality TV series Keeping Up With the Kardashians came to an end after 20 strong seasons.
When the news of the series ending hit, fans were heartbroken to know that a farewell was coming but now that the last episode has aired, fans are absolutely devastated that their weekly Kardashian-Jenner content has come to a halt. However, a final goodbye may not have to be in order yet as it looks like episodes of KUWTK will still continue to air on the show’s home network.
Seasons of KUWTK will still air on E!
According to Variety, E! still holds the rights to KUWTK, meaning that the network will continue to honor those licensing rights in some way, particularly, by airing past seasons.
As of right now, we don’t know how frequently the network will air these seasons or which seasons E! will marathon for us fans, we do know that a good number of fans will continue watching these re-runs, which is, ultimately, the main reason why re-airing old episodes on E! would be profitable for both the network and the Kardashians.
We know what you’re thinking. What about the Kardashian-Jenners’ multi-year deal with Hulu?
Well, it looks as though the deal is still in place and an upcoming Kardashian show is still coming to Hulu. With both deals happening simultaneously, this could mean that the new Kardashian series on Hulu may have an entirely different concept, vibe, and, of course, a different name to it being that E! still has the rights to the original show.
The family’s matriarch Kris Jenner hinted at this newer feel for the Hulu show earlier this year, teasing that it will be fresh, fun, and ultimately, an exciting experience for longtime fans of the show.
We couldn’t be any more excited for this family’s upcoming Hulu show and we hope you’re just excited as we are!
While you wait for this new series, feel free to watch where it all began as seasons 1 through 19 are currently airing on Hulu. Additionally, get ready for the first-ever KUWTK reunion airing only on E! this week.
