This 4th of July weekend marks the first holiday that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson spent apart as a newly broken up couple, which is an extremely sad turn of events.

Last month, the two officially called it off for good after numerous allegations of the NBA athlete cheating were made known to both the public and the Good American co-founder. Flash forward to this month, and it appears that the chances of these two rekindling their relationship is decreasing with every holiday that passes.

Whereas Kourtney Kardashian was living it up in Disneyland with Travis Barker’s daughters, it appears that Khloe Kardashian was watching the fireworks without a significant other.

As we’ve seen on her Instagram, the 37-year-old celeb was having fun taking photos of herself pushing ice cream carts and serving face on this past hot Fourth of July weekend. However, her ex-boyfriend was doing something completely different to keep cool from that hot California air.

According to Hollywood Life, Tristan Thompson was living his best life in Malibu, attending a party with his shirt, notably, completely unbuttoned. This Boston Celtics athlete was having a wickedly good time this past weekend despite his relationship with the mother of his baby girl, True Thompson, being completely in shambles…or so we) thought.

Perhaps the reason why this athlete is completely unbothered by his current situation is that there is still a slight chance that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star may take him back if he puts in the work to be more faithful to her and their small family. Or maybe he’s partying it up because he’s a single man who is absolutely ready to mingle.

Regardless of the reasons as to why Thompson was away from the Kardashian this holiday, it is still pretty sad to know that these two spending holidays separate may be the new norm.
