Jamie Lynn Spears is borrowing a leaf out of sister Britney Spears‘ book – to write her own. The 30-year-old singer and actress is set to release a tell-all memoir vowing to dish on “family and fame,” with the title giving a giant nod to 39-year-old Britney and one of her most iconic lyrics.
Jamie Lynn, this month in the news for saying she and her daughters have been receiving death threats after she supported her sister, has seen a mixed response on social media by virtue of the I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out title. Many fans didn’t seem to appreciate Jamie Lynn taking the limelight from Britney’s “…Baby One More Time” single.

Jamie Lynn, who has disabled Instagram comments since claiming she and daughters Maddie and Ivey received death threats, has yet to announce the memoir on social media. Hachette Book Group’s Worthy Publishing has offered some info, though.
"“She shares never-before-heard stories that are at times funny, inspiring, messy and uncomfortable. Like having her mom’s credit card declined at Limited Too when her sister was on the radio.”"
“How it feels to have inspired ’16 and Pregnant’ with her own life story. Why her daughter’s ATV accident caused her to reevaluate and redirect her life. And why her family is just like any other family,” they added.
Jamie Lynn, known for her early acting credits in Zoey 101 and later going onto star in Crossroads with sister Britney, sparked major controversy over a decade ago by being a teen mother. Daughter Maddie is now 12.
Jamie Lynn’s book is reported to have originally had Southern Roots considered as its title. The mom of two was last year propelled back into the acting world with the immense success of the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias, where her character Noreen famously rocks a fake baby bump.
Last week, Jamie clapped back at haters as she said she’s been paying her own “freaking” bills since she was 10 years old, this as she’s reported to be the only member of Britney’s family not on the “Toxic” singer’s payroll. Britney has a reported net worth of $59 million.
