Kate Middleton the tailored damsel

In this section, we take a look at some of the Duchess of Cambridge’s more classic and tailored looks from her recent royal engagements. Kate Middleton often favours stylish pieces that are tailored to her petite frame. These three looks would have to be our favourite as they perfectly demonstrate the vast transformations the Duchess can take in her style.

8. While visiting Scotland in May, Kate Middleton opted for stylish and dead on-trend Kate chose an all-camel monochromatic outfit. The Duchess of Cambridge, or the Countess of Strathearn as she’s known in Scotland, paired a double-breasted Massimo Dutti coat with tan-coloured wide-leg trousers, a scoop-neck tan sweater, and a matching brown belt, pumps, and clutch.

KIRKWALL, SCOTLAND – MAY 25: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge waves as she officially opens The Balfour, Orkney Hospital with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge on day five of their week long visit to Scotland on May 25, 2021 in Kirkwall, Scotland. Recently opened in 2019, The Balfour replaced the old hospital, which had served the community for ninety years. The new facility has enabled the repatriation of many NHS services from the Scottish mainland, allowing Orkney’s population to receive most of their healthcare at home. The new building’s circular design is based on the 5000-year-old Neolithic settlement, Skara Brae, making it a unique reflection of the local landscape in which many historical sites are circles. 9.  In September 2020, Kate Middleton ushered in fall with a gorgeous calf-length red floral shirtdress, that had been taken in at the waist to accommodate the Duchess of Cambridge’s delicate frame, with balloon sleeves tapered at her forearms and a pair of brown pump heels. While visiting communities hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic in London she didn’t feel the need for many accessories, she donned a blush pink floral mask and held a simple clutch bag in one hand.

10. Another snap from her Scotland trip! While hosting a charity drive-in cinema screening of Cruela, the Duchess of Cambridge sported a spectacular royal blue, forest green and deep purple tartan coat by Holland and Cooper adorned with striking gold buttons and donned a pair of deep emerald heels by Manolo Blahnik. The fabulous coat, which felt just short of the mom of three’s ankles, was perfectly tailored to Kate Middleton’s frame to give off an elegant and sophisticated feel to the look.
