Courteney Cox was brave enough to share her tennis court mess-up ahead of the weekend. The 57-year-old sitcom star, proving popular on Instagram for posting her awkward on-court moment, has now gained over half a million likes for uploading an unexpected and very real consequence of being candidly filmed, with fans of the Friends actress now throwing her the thumbs-up for making them laugh.

Courteney, who has been making the world laugh since slipping into alter ego Monica Geller‘s shoes back in 1994, posted a video of herself playing tennis and with the ball not quite going where it was aimed at.

Courteney Cox keeps fans laughing on Instagram

See the video below. Cox, an avid tennis player, did a good job of flaunting her killer workout body as she wore sporty dark shorts and a white tee, but not everything went to plan. The NBC star was seen smashing the ball as it arrived on her side of the net, but direction appeared to be an issue as the blue-eyed beauty wound up directing the ball, well, right into the camera.

From the camera’s point of view, it was a total mess as the lens was seen swiveling, upside-down and eventually showing Courteney peering at the damage she’d caused. Fans heard an “oh boy” and an “oh no” from the actress, who managed to make the whole thing humorous as she wrote: “Sorry” with an emoji. Cox also threw out beats to the video, choosing Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It.”

Topping comments is another sitcom superstar. The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco, who filmed herself sobbing as she watched the May-aired Friends reunion, sent a long string of cry-face emoji. Also commenting was Hollywood actress Diane Keaton, although her emoji were ones of shock. More below.

Of course, comments centric to the series Cox starred on until 2004 came in: “I thought Monica was good enough to break Chandler’s racquet,” one fan wrote, clearly referring to Monica’s super-human strength and scenes showing her pretty nifty tennis skills.

“So Monica,” another fan replied.

Cox, alongside co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc this year fronts media outlets for the giant cast reunion that aired in late May. The HBO Max special was reported to have earned each cast member $2.5 million.
