Kate Middleton is back! Duchess of Cambridge makes Wimbledon finale after week of quarantine
Everybody knows that Kate Middleton, 39, – known formally as Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is a huuuuge tennis fan! After all, the Duchess is the Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) for a reason👀, and when she has the possibility to attend, she always makes stylish appearances at Wimbledon.
But while the tournament has been going on, due to UK Government guidelines, the Duchess of Cambridge was forced to self-quarantine this week – after being notified that she had come into contact with someone who had tested positive for the coronavirus – and missed a few thrilling matches. But it seems Kate Middleton got the all-clear, as she returned to the tennis courts on Saturday, July 10, to watch the women’s singles final.
Kate Middleton marks Wimbledon return in vivid green dress
On the arm of her very own Prince Charming – who recently left fans blushing with his “bulging biceps” – 39-year-old Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the tennis club wearing a vivid green, calf-length smart, short-sleeve dress, which gave onlookers a great view of her enviously toned arms, and donned a simple pair of white pump heels. Kate Middleton kept her famous caramel-coloured locks down and loose around her shoulders, and opted to accessorize with a delicate gold chain bracelet on her right hand and her stunning sapphire engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana.
After enjoying an exciting match between tennis players Ashleigh Barty and Karolina Pliskova, the 39-year-old mom of three, who’s always immaculately dressed, took to the tennis court herself! But not to play a round of tennis, but to award trophies to the final two ladies.
“What an incredible match and performance by both athletes!”, the Kensington Royal Twitter account posted. “Congratulations @ashbarty on being crowned #Wimbledon champion.”
Yesterday was Kate Middleton’s second appearance at the tennis championships this year and was confirmed that she’ll be attending the men’s singles final today (July 11), though it’s likely Prince William will give this match a miss as – President of England’s Football Association – he’ll be busy getting ready to see if “football is [*truly*] coming home” in the Euro 2020 football tournament between England and Italy.
Kate has been the Patron of the AELTCC ever since taking over from the Queen in 2016.
