Demi Lovato is receiving high praise today as a photo of the 28-year-old naked and in their bathtub goes viral. On Thursday, the former Disney star updated their Instagram with a snap they admitted came with a “vulnerable” side, but the message was one of confidence as the “Dancing With The Devil” singer revealed feeling their “sexiest” when stripped down.
Demi, who came out as non-binary in May and had, long before their near-fatal drug overdose in 2018 struggled with eating disorders, shared a stunning bubbly close-up, one showing the makeup gone and coming complete with a caption that instilled confidence from within.

Lovato had posed with wet hair and their freckles showing, also showing off a flawless complexion as they shot the camera a deep gaze. The snap was far from provocative, instead seeing Demi express themselves with simplicity as they wrote:
"“I feel the sexiest in the bathtub w no makeup, no extensions, no lashes.. naked. Just me in my purest form. I don’t always feel comfortable in my skin/body so I’m beyond grateful that in these moments, when I’m most vulnerable I can feel beautiful & accept myself as is. 💞🙏🏼”"
Demi, who told Ashley Graham’s Pretty Big Deal podcast that they still struggle with disordered eating thoughts back in 2010, now sees fans gushing over the beauty on show, but also the confidence.
Transgender YouTuber and makeup guru Nikita Dragun went a little cheeky with: “u got room for me in that tub,” but responses largely showed respect. “You’re the most beautiful person,” one fan replied. “We love you, we accept you, we respect you,” another said.
Demi this year divulged more about their eating disorder battles via their Simply Complicated YouTube documentary as they admitted food is still the “biggest challenge” in their life. Referencing ex Wilmer Valderrama, the Fabletics face revealed:
“When I was in a relationship with Wilmer I went three years without purging and when we broke up that’s one of the first things I did,” adding:
“The less I have to think about food, the easier it is to go about having a normal life and I don’t want to let anybody down so when I do have moments when I slip up, I feel very ashamed.”
Lovato also confirmed first engaging in binge eating as young as eight years old after their younger sibling arrived into the family. Lovato eventually conditioned themselves to see food as “medicine.” The singer joins the long list of eating disorder survivor celebrities, one not limited to singer Fiona Apple, actress Lily Collins and music legend Paula Abdul.
