After conquering TikTok, Addison Rae has set her sights on the silver screen. As first reported by Variety, Rae has landed the lead role in He’s All That, a new gender-swap remake of the iconic Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachel Leigh Cook film She’s All That.
It’s exciting news for Kourtney Kardashian’s pal and is sure to help her reach an even larger audience. Rae’s involvement also gives us something to distract ourselves from as we continue to process the fact that Keeping Up with the Kardashians is officially over.

He’s All That cast
Leading the cast of He’s All That is Addison Rae, who will star as Padgett Sawyer in her first feature film debut. Joining Rae as the film’s male lead is Cobra Kai actor Tanner Buchanan who will play the student Rae’s character ends up giving a makeover to as part of the show’s central storyline.
Rounding out the cast are Madison Pettis, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Annie Jacob, Myra Molloy and Matthew Lillard. The film will also feature the return of She’s All That star Rachael Leigh Cook, who will be playing Padgett’s mom in the movie.
He’s All That synopsis
He’s All That is a reimagined version of the storyline introduced in She’s All That with the rebooted film flipping the gender roles to tell the story of a high school elite who makes a bet she can turn a nerdy guy into the school’s next prom king.

"The new spin will be told from a teenage girl’s point of view. The contemporary story follows an influencer who accepts a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser into prom king."
He’s All That release date
Fans looking forward to Addison Rae’s feature-film debut won’t have to wait very long! After picking up the film early in 2021, Netlfix has confirmed He’s All That starring Addison Rae and Cobra Kai‘s Tanner Buchanan will release Friday, August 27.
The release date should make the film one of the summer’s most anticipated titles and will pair well with Netflix’s other teen rom-com, The Kissing Booth 3.

He’s All That trailer
Ahead of He’s All That‘s arrival, Netflix has released the first full-length trailer which gives fans the first chance to see Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan together on-screen.
While there are some spoilers in the trailer including snippets of how the bet came to be and reactions from Buchanan’s character upon learning his relationship with Rae’s character was all part of a bet, the trailer does a nice job of giving away just enough to leave us wanting more. It also happens to give us our first look at Rachael Leigh Cook’s new character and Kourtney Kardashian’s mystery character.
