Kylie Jenner branded ‘out of touch’ after showing off strange school bus surprise for Stormi

Rich people often do the darndest things and, unfortunately, Kylie Jenner‘s recent behavior is not helping disprove that narrative.

The proclaimed self-made millionaire and her baby daddy, rapper Travis Scott, often treat their daughter Stormi Webster to extravagant gifts and even more extravagant experiences as all loving parents try to do. Case in point, last year, the parents gave their daughter a small amusement park festival for her second birthday party called “Stormi World,” and it was filled with anything any two-year-old would desire. However, now that Stormi is a tad older and certainly wants different experiences, maybe giving her everything she wants isn’t the best call by her parents.

According to Kylie Jenner’s Instagram Story, her three-year-old has always wanted to ride a yellow school bus. While we don’t exactly know why she would like to ride this particular form of transportation, many find her wish to be both adorable and strange. School buses are often associated with a lower to middle-class lifestyle, and many believe it’s a weird look for millionaires to surprise their child with something normal kids have to ride on every day for school.

Even still, Jenner and Scott proceeded to gift their daughter this surprise and documented how excited Stormi was.

Reddit fans weren’t the biggest fans of Kylie Jenner attempting to show her daughter a “normal” lifestyle like this and believed that the school bus surprise was in poor taste. Some even felt bad for the kid.

“I feel bad for Stormi,” one Redditor expressed. “Yea she can ride on a bus, but when your dad rented it for you, it’s not the experience she has been talking about.” Another stated, “I wonder if it ever crosses their minds that there are millions of kids that ride these buses to school every day but go to bed hungry every night,” which seems to be the consensus of most of the commenters.

It seems that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott may have missed the mark for this particular surprise, and while it’s praiseworthy as parents to want to give their daughter everything, to some, the ability to even gift a child absolutely everything they want is out of this world and certainly out of touch with reality.
