Kim Kardashian reportedly knew about Kanye West’s cheating lyric on ‘Hurricane’ before it was released

Last month, it was reported that Kanye West snuck in a confession of infidelity in one of his songs from his latest album Donda. While he did not go into detail about the cheating nor admitting who the other woman was, the rapper did suggest that he was unfaithful to Kim Kardashian around the time the couple had their first two children North and Saint West.

Many were shocked at this reveal, wondering how the reality TV star felt about hearing the stanza and if she knew about the alleged cheating all along. Well, it appears that Kim Kardashian wasn’t exactly surprised about the confession and may have even given Kanye West the final thumbs-up to put the lyric in his song “Hurricane.”

Did Kim Kardashian know about Kanye West’s cheating lyric?

According to US Weekly, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star apparently did know about West discussing his marriage slip-up on the song before its official release. A source for the publication stated:

"She wouldn’t be promoting something unless she knew all the lyrics. She wasn’t blindsided, but it is what it is. She’s known her whole marriage/life with Kanye that he’s an open book and there’s nothing she could ever do to stop him from saying whatever he wants. But she had a heads-up."

As we know and as the source confirmed, Kim Kardashian listened to the album prior to the August 2021 release, sharing photos of her listening to the songs from the Grammy-winning musician’s most recent project. Because of this, we can assume that if she was ever shocked by the infidelity admittance, she had time to move on from the news much before it was made known to the public and most likely had the time to heal from her hurt in peace.

But, just because Kardashian had a heads-up before everyone else and was able to move on faster, doesn’t exactly mean that she nor Kanye West gave everyone else the same courtesy.

The source also revealed that the Kardashian-Jenner family was “surprised” to hear that the rapper was unfaithful and most likely had no idea about the hidden secrets about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s relationship until they listened to Donda themselves. That said, it’s possible the clan of celebrities is still processing what this means for their now conjoined-for-life family.
