The reported reason Kylie Jenner didn’t attend the Met Gala

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one still reeling in the magic that was last night’s Met Gala event. We got to see so many of our favorite celebrities at the renowned event and we couldn’t get enough of the absolutely stunning outfits that they all graced the red carpet with.

Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian were amongst the celebs we were wowed by yesterday, and we even got an appearance from Kris Jenner and her partner, Corey Gamble. Every one of these Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars dazzled the event, dressing to the nines and giving us life.

However, though the Met Gala was attended by multiple members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, there were a few individuals whose absences were certainly felt.

Kourtney Kardashian made an appearance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards but, unfortunately, skipped the trip to the fashion event held in the same state. In addition to this Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian was also nowhere to be found. But the person many missed the most was the fashion icon, Kylie Jenner. Find out why she couldn’t attend below.

Why didn’t Kylie Jenner go to the Met Gala?

According to E! News, Kylie Jenner could not attend the event because our mommy-to-be wanted to focus solely on her pregnancy and did not want to overwhelm herself with all the lights and the cameras. A source told the media outlet:

"She pulled out last minute because she is overwhelmed and just doesn’t feel great. She did a lot this past weekend and pushed it. […] Kylie is focused on her pregnancy right now and just wants to take it easy."

We certainly understand why the reality star is taking a step back from the limelight. After all, she’s spearheading numerous revamps and launches for her many business endeavors including but certainly not limited to Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Baby, and Kylie Swim.

In addition to the many new launches, we suspect that she may have also started documenting her pregnancy for her family’s upcoming reality series on Hulu. Not to mention the fact that she is a mother to her toddler, Stormi Webster, and a girlfriend to her partner, Travis Scott.

With all this and more in mind, it’s clear that Kylie Jenner certainly has a lot on her plate!
