Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have always been the type of parents who go all out for their kids.

Just a few weeks back, the couple rented a school bus for their daughter Stormi Webster because she wanted to experience what it would be like to ride on it, and while this may have been a huge effort on the parents’ part, many saw this gifting a little inappropriate and tone-deaf as it mocked the middle-class lifestyle. Still, the backlash seemingly didn’t phase Jenner nor Scott one bit–but their recent backlash might.

Yesterday, the couple took a trip to the Houston Zoo, which is known for its animal attractions, fun rides for kids, and its extremely long lines. During their visit, Jenner and Scott got to experience everything there was to experience except for its waiting time, and therein, to the general public, lies the huge problem.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott face backlash for skipping lines at Houston Zoo

Click 2 Houston reports that the celebrities asked the administrators of the zoo to shut down certain rides to allow for the family to board safely. The administrators agreed, however, what was meant to be in consideration of the family of celebs was actually extremely inconsiderate to the other visitors who were also there with them on this day.

A frequent visitor told the media outlet about her experience, stating that she and her daughter constantly had to step out of the line to allow Jenner and her family to go through. Other visitors seconded this experience, questioning what exactly makes this family more important to the rest, and while we don’t have the answer to this question, we may be able to speculate.

Being that Jenner is expecting a second child, it’s possible that she simply wanted to take extra caution with being at the Houston Zoo to avoid any unnecessary accidents or anxiety. After all, Jenner reportedly skipped out on the Met Gala because of too much activity and is now skipping out on waiting in lines.

Nevertheless, some still were offended by how inconsiderate the family of three were being, not only other parents but also other kids who were waiting in these lines for an extended period of time.

One of these people, in particular, took to Reddit to air their grievances, stating:

"We were in line at the carousel. The kids were about to get on the ride […] All of a sudden they come and tell everyone to get out of line and back away from the ride because of a VIP and wouldn’t you know it’s Kylie, Travis, and Stormi. […] It wasn’t cool. Her security detail were super rude to everyone also. Yelling at us to back up. Excuse me we just paid and waited in line for a ride and now we’re being pushed aside for your clients? A bunch of kids ended up crying because of them."

Many sympathized with this Redditor and believed that if Jenner truly wanted privacy and safety, she should have just rented out the park for an entire day. At the moment, we don’t know why Jenner didn’t take this option if it were, in fact, available for her to take.

The Houston Zoo faculty have apologized for the inconveniencing of many, however, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have yet to make any comments about the recent backlash. Once or if they do, we will be sure to let you know.
