As we’ve seen done time and time again, hosts for the iconic sketch show Saturday Night Live always open up the night with a monologue. Our most recent host, Kim Kardashian, was certainly not an exception as she began the show with a comical roast of both herself and her family of renowned celebrities, which audiences everywhere seem to have thoroughly enjoyed.

However, one individual, in particular, would have to disagree.

According to Yahoo!, the late Nicole Brown’s sister, Tanya Brown, recently voiced her disdain for one aspect of Kardashian’s opening monologue where she joked about O.J. Simpson and made light of Brown’s murder. By the sound of it, Tanya Brown isn’t letting anyone, especially Kim Kardashian, off the hook for this.

Kim Kardashian called out by Nicole Brown’s sister over SNL O.J. Simpson joke

As mentioned previously, Kim Kardashian’s Saturday Night Live opener alluded to the death of Nicole Brown as well as O.J. Simpson’s alleged involvement in it. Initially, the joke was about how her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., introduced her to her first black person, however, the joke quickly segued into something darker. The SKIMS founder stated:

"It’s because of him [Robert Kardashian Sr.] that I met my first black person. Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was? I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark. Or several. Or none at all. I still don’t know."

It’s been reported that Tanya Brown found the jokes “insensitive” and “beyond inappropriate.” She also believes that Kim and the rest of the Kardashian family, specifically longtime family friend Kris Jenner, should have refused to make the joke in the first place, choosing to prioritize their relationship with the Brown family rather than throw them under the bus.

Now, Tanya Brown puts into question the Kardashians’ loyalty and genuineness.

As if the heartbreak of the joke being made in the first place wasn’t already enough for Tanya Brown, the joke was also met with boisterous laughter and even applause from the live studio audience.

Because of this, Tanya also expressed that the response was “hurtful” and was shocked at how much the studio enjoyed such jokes especially with the death of her sister being such a delicate subject in American history.

Kim Kardashian nor members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have yet to speak out about Tanya Brown’s response to the Saturday Night Live monologue. Once or if they do, we will be sure to update you with all the latest.
