Kylie Jenner is called ‘weird’ by her fans for ‘disturbing’ bloody photoshoot

As we reported earlier this month, Kylie Jenner has a new Halloween collection coming up for her widely successful makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics.

To get in the Halloween spirit, the reality star took to her Instagram to post a series of promotional pictures and videos full of eerie music, body horror, and, of course, tons of blood. But what she thought would be met with tons of praise and anticipation was actually met with negative reviews and adverse reactions because some of her fans are not here for the use of so much gore.

Fans disprove Kylie Jenner’s bloody photoshoot

The Sun reports that many people in Kylie Jenner’s fanbase, mostly women, found the bloody photoshoot incredibly “triggering” as well as “disturbing” because it alluded to something that most mothers found horrifying, especially pregnant mothers.

“This is kind of disturbing especially since you’re pregnant. But that’s just my opinion,” one commenter stated, while another agreed as they stated, “I’m a mother of two baby girls, so for me it was disturbing seeing this.”

These comments seem to echo the majority of the opinions about the blood-filled photoshoot down below.

The outrage is understandable because, as we know, Kylie Jenner announced that she is currently expecting her second child with her partner Travis Scott earlier this year after months of keeping the pregnancy a secret.

Aside from the disturbing imagery, some have accused the photoshoot of normalizing the trauma murdered women have gone through in their final moments. In the comments, one person posed the question: “Why is a tragic murder-looking scene supposed to be sexy?” The replies to this comment wonder the same thing.

Though Kylie Jenner has yet to respond to these statements, many are simply calling for the celebrity to put a trigger warning on her next promotional advertisement should it be filled with blood and body horror once more.

However, we’ll have to wait and see to know whether or not Kylie will heed the opinions of the general public.
