On Friday, Nov. 5, tragedy struck at Travis Scott‘s Astroworld music festival leaving eight dead, hundreds injured and millions baffled at how something so terrible happened in the first place — and the public’s confusion didn’t stop there.

In addition to the outrage towards Scott, millions questioned why Scott’s partner, Kylie Jenner, posted an Instagram Story at the concert where an emergency vehicle could be seen struggling to get to individuals in the crowd who were desperately in need of saving.

Jenner has since spoken about it on her social media account, claiming that she and Scott were not privy to what transpired until after the event. The message read:

"I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing. I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted."

Though her condolences were given, many did not take too kindly to this comment, feeling that apologies and remorse simply wouldn’t do enough to rectify the deadly mistake. Even still, the Kardashian-Jenner family offer their sympathy.

Variety reports that two other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family have responded to the Astroworld tragedy, one being Kendall Jenner who also attended the concert where eight innocent lives were taken. On Monday evening, Jenner’s Instagram Story stated:

"I’m still at a loss for words over the news from Astroworld. I’m truly broken for the families that have lost loved ones and my prayers go out to everyone involved. Sending everyone who has been affected all of my love and wishing them strength during this incredibly devastating and sensitive time."

Shortly after, Kim Kardashian, too, expressed her grief on the situation, stating on her Instagram Story:

"Absolutely heartbroken for the lives who were lost and anyone who was hurt at Astroworld. Just like all of you, our family is in shock by the tragedy. We are keeping all of the victims, families and loved ones impacted in our prayers for healing — as well as Travis who we know cares so much about his fans and is truly devastated."

To put on a united front, the family’s matriarch Kris Jenner, along with Khloe Kardashian, reposted Kim’s message on their respective social media accounts. Conversely, Kourtney Kardashian has yet to make any comments nor repost her family’s sentiments regarding the Nov. 5 event and we’re not entirely sure if she ever will.

The most remorse comes from Travis Scott who is holding himself accountable for the tragedy by offering to pay for the fallen’s funeral expenses as well as refunding every ticket that was purchased.

At this moment, it is unclear whether or not Kylie Jenner will follow her partner’s suit and financially sow a seed to right the wrongs, but we will be sure to update you once we know more.
