At one point in time, former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner wanted her family to have no relationship with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

With Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner all being guest stars for DeGeneres’ show this past year, we know that the beef between Jenner and DeGeneres didn’t seep into the family’s love for the host. However, this almost wasn’t the case as Caitlyn Jenner was far too “burned” to ever want her family anywhere near DeGeneres.

Caitlyn Jenner feud with Ellen DeGeneres explained

Yahoo! reports that Jenner’s feud with Ellen DeGeneres began in 2015 after she was invited as a special guest star on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

There, Jenner was questioned about her stance on same-sex marriage to which the reality star alluded she wasn’t for it. Following her response, Jenner claimed that DeGeneres’ reaction to her answer was unexpected and caused a huge strain between the celebrities.

During her time spent on Big Brother VIP, Caitlyn Jenner expressed:

"But looking back on it, I could’ve handled a couple of things a little bit differently. Because I didn’t think [Ellen] would respond the way she did. […] The next week, she goes on Howard Stern’s show and says I was against gay marriage and absolutely burnt my a*s. And so, in the media, I got really tough on her."

The Olympian was so tilted by this experience that she almost called upon ex-wife Kris Jenner to see if the Kardashian-Jenner clan, who often appear on the show, would be willing to stand beside her and refrain from being guest stars on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the future.

As we now know, Jenner’s proposed ban was not put into effect by the family, but as for her, she hasn’t been on the daytime talk show since.
