Tristan Thompson has been keeping a rather low profile ever since his last split with on-and-off girlfriend Khloe Kardashian. However, it seems that trouble still manages to find the athlete even when he’s simply minding his business and chasing after his NBA coin.
The trouble stems from this past Sunday’s basketball game where Thompson, who plays for the Sacramento Kings, duked it out against the Memphis Grizzlies. As if the game in front of him wasn’t stressful enough, Thompson had to deal with relentless rude comments made by an angry individual in the bleachers.
US Weekly reports that a fan took the liberty to continuously bombard Tristan Thompson with questions about the ins and outs of his personal life during the game, specifically, about his relationship with the Kardashian family.
The fan was warned once for his misbehavior at the Nov. 28 basketball game, but when he began to make “disparaging comments” about Tristan and the esteemed family, he was soon escorted out of the building.
It was also reported that Thompson was rather unfazed about the heckler’s comments, however, his interim head coach, Alvin Gentry, felt differently about the situation and came forward in defense of the 30-year-old athlete. Gentry expressed:
"I think [when] you pay for a ticket, you’ve got a right to boo guys, you’ve got a right to cheer for your team, but inappropriate things should never be what anyone should say. […] Fans] can say anything they want to me or they can boo and do everything they want with the players, but there’s no room for saying inappropriate things in a sporting event. That’s not why you’re there."
We don’t know if Tristan Thompson will ever reply to the comments made by the audience member, but we’re hoping that the hecklers stop here; this fan may have had something to do with why Thompson lost the game.
