Tristan Thompson’s alleged baby mama Maralee Nichols speaks out, shares first photo of child

It’s been over two weeks since Tristan Thompson‘s name hit headlines again for all the wrong reasons. In case you missed it, the NBA player was in the spotlight after reports came out that he was expecting a child with a woman named Maralee Nichols — and the baby was allegedly conceived while he was dating Khloe Kardashian.

While Thompson is normally one to deny rumors about his personal life, reported court documents showed that he admitted to having sex with Nichols in an affair that lasted months. Of course, we can assume this was a huge blow to Kardashian, who briefly spoke out about her wellbeing on Twitter.

Now, we come with more tea that’s piping hot, as Nichols is giving her first official statement about her son, who she gave birth to earlier this month, and that’s not all. She’s shared the first photo of the baby! Check it out below.

While speaking exclusively to E! News, Nichols shared the following:

"“Instead of focusing on any negativity, I am choosing to embrace being a mother and doing the best I can for my son. I do not want any further media attention, nor do I want a romantic relationship with Tristan.”"

Kardashian fans on Reddit have, of course, been discussing the photo at length. It seems many feel bad for Nichols, while some admit they don’t feel sympathy for her.

While Khloe Kardashian has yet to make a public statement about the situation, sources say she’s understandably not taking it well. According to a report from People Magazine earlier this month, the 37-year-old reality star “just can’t believe that [Thompson] is going to be a dad again,” finding it a “sad situation.”

Though we don’t have a release date for the Kardashians’ upcoming Hulu show, we can’t help but wonder how much — if any — of Tristan’s latest scandal will be included. It hasn’t been reported that filming has concluded, meaning the family could still have the cameras rolling on all of this drama. It’s exciting to think we might be getting a closer glimpse at the situation, but also sad considering how heartbroken Khloe Kardashian must be.
