Why Marvel fans are attacking Kim Kardashian online

Uh-oh, Kim Kardashian has managed to upset Marvel fans and it’s not looking pretty for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.

As many know, Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in theaters on Dec. 17 in the United States. This movie, though one of the most-anticipated films of 2021, has still not been watched by all yet. This is why spoilers are a very sensitive topic and are heavily avoided by those who have been patiently waiting to safely watch the film.

Though the general public is aware of these unwritten spoiler rules and respects them, our movie-loving reality star Kim Kardashian seems to have ignored all the precautionary measures agreed upon by Marvel fans, and unfortunately, did the unspeakable.

Why are Marvel fans hating on Kim Kardashian?

According to Jezebel, a recent Instagram Story shared by Kardashian is the cause of anger amongst these passionate fans as it depicted a major spoiler from Spider-Man: No Way Home. Being that we, too, abide by the rules of spoilers we won’t reveal exactly what she posted, but let’s just say that if you haven’t watched the film, after seeing her Instagram Story you may not need to anymore.

Unknowing of her huge slip-up, Kardashian left the Spider-Man spoiler up on her Instagram for some time, meaning that most of her 274 million followers may have had one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year spoiled for them. This explains why the angry comments that followed were somewhat warranted.

“I thought the [Spider-Man] ending would get ruined from [A LOT] of places on social media for me, but never in @KimKardashian‘s insta stories,” one Marvel fan stated. “Nothing says privilege like getting a movie in your own private theatre and spoiling it for those of us who are trying to stay home and safe!”

Many are reluctant to watch the movie being that it is exclusively available in theaters and they are want to take safety precautions amid the pandemic. Kardashian having the ability to override these protocols simply because she has her personal theater, as stated above, shows that she is in some ways out of touch with reality — especially the reality of a Marvel fan trying to avoid Spider-Man spoilers.

Will Marvel fans’ anger towards Kim Kardashian spoiling Spider-Man: No Way Home dissolve? Most likely. But when this will happen is anyone’s guess.
