The scandalous dress Kendall Jenner wore to her friend Lauren Perez’s vow ceremony last year made its rounds all over the internet and left many under the impression that Jenner didn’t know how to read the room, being that her choice of attire was highly “inappropriate.”

Following the backlash, Jenner had remained silent for the time being. However, months later, she is finally reacting to the controversy and it’s safe to say that the internet’s hot takes about her outfit simply rolled off her back both then and now.

E! News reports that when it came to her all-black cut-out dress, Jenner asked for the bride’s stamp approval prior to attending the vow ceremony.

Jenner’s response can be found in a comment underneath Lauren Perez’s Instagram photo set consisting of her favorite moments from her Miami beach wedding held last year. At the forefront of this photo set is none other than Kendall Jenner sporting the controversial outfit; a choice that may have caused Perez’s comment section to go off the rails.

“Inappropriate outfit at a wedding,” one comment read under the photo. “@kendalljenner I’m embarrassed for you. #cringe.” In response to these harsh words, a fan stated, “If the bride herself doesn’t gaf why do you care? relax,” to which Perez replied, “Tell em! SHE LOOKED STUNNING AND I LOVED IT!”

Bygones could have been bygones after the bride stepped in and cleared the misunderstanding, but Kendall Jenner wasn’t going to let the moment pass her without saying something to defend her name. After Perez’s statement, Jenner expressed, “Obvi asked for your approval in advance too.
