Without a doubt, Kylie Jenner has been called out for her copycat tendencies in the past.

Last year when her swimsuit line Kylie Swim released some new pieces, local fashion company Nemesis Apparel believed she was ripping off their original items. Many came to the defense of Nemesis Apparel, seeing the similarities too obvious to ignore.

Despite public outrage, the scandal blew over, becoming a memory of the past. However, it looks like Kylie Jenner won’t be that lucky this time as she might have ripped off a super famous name in the makeup industry.

Kylie Jenner allegedly copies Trixie Mattel’s lipstick packaging

US Weekly reports that RuPaul Drag Race icon Trixie Mattel isn’t too keen on Kylie’s upcoming Valentine’s Day lip collection as it resembles her line, Trixie Cosmetics, a bit too much.

Frustrated by the alleged copycat, Trixie posted a TikTok video of herself putting on her heart-shaped lipgloss, but in the background of the video is a screenshot of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s new line. And as if the video wasn’t already shady enough, Trixie wrote in the caption, “Kylie, I’m calling the police,” to let it be known she’s not a fan of being ripped off.

Fans immediately sided with Trixie Mattel in what they’re calling “#glossgate,” however, an insider has tried to clear the air.

“This is stock packaging,” a source told US Weekly. “There are many other brands that have the same packaging  — it’s standard for heart shaped lipgloss.”

For visual reference, here is Trixie Mattel’s lipgloss design:

And here is Kylie Jenner’s:

The similarities are striking, but the insider firmly states this is the standard design for any heart-shaped package. Even still, this didn’t stop fans from flooding Kylie’s comments section with accusations.

“That’s cool, Trixie did it first,” one comment read while another stated, “Imagine stealing a whole concept.” Statements like these were so abundant, Kylie had to turn off the comments section shortly after. It’s safe to assume she isn’t a fan of being called a copier yet again.

Kylie Jenner has yet to come forward with an official statement regarding the recent accusations, but when or if she (or Trixie Mattel) does, we’ll be sure to let you know.
