Details of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s unexpected breakup are still being revealed. Here’s the latest.

Previously, it was believed that Davidson and Kardashian broke up because of their long-distance relationship. However, not too long after this report, sources confirmed that the real reason for there being tension in the relationship is because the celebrities weren’t seeing eye-to-eye when it came to their ideal futures together.

Davidson, 28, wanted to settle down, but Kardashian, 41, felt that she wasn’t there yet, as she recently got out of a long-term marriage. What’s more, the comedian, allegedly, was ready to get down on one knee — a huge step the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star simply wasn’t ready for in the slightest.

“She initially thought it would be a fun fling,” Yahoo! News stated. “But then it got more serious when they were spending so much time together. Kim wasn’t feeling like she was willing to settle down with him just yet.”

While all these statements are true in some regard, it turns out that no one is to blame for the Kete breakup; it was a “mutual decision” in the end.

Will Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson get back together?

Glamour shed some light on the ins and outs of Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian’s separation.

“They’ve definitely been slowing down,” the media outlet wrote. “Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed. Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup. They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course.”

The fizzing out of their chemistry seemed to be too much for either celebrity to handle. Hence why the chances of them getting back together are slim to none–for now, at least.

“It was an amicable split,” another source revealed. “They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn’t sudden. And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now.”

Although we are a little more privy to what exactly went down, fans still have a few suspicions about what really happened, mainly because in the days leading up to Kete’s split, Kardashian posted some rather iffy quotes to her Instagram Story. In particular, one post read, “Girls can see the difference between 200 shades of nude lipstick but they can’t see red flags.”

Fans could be reading too much into the post, but then again, it’s possible that there may be more to the story than we initially thought. What red flag is she referring to?

We’ll have to wait a bit longer to learn more about what’s going on with Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, especially since the Saturday Night Live comedian hasn’t shared his side of the story just yet.
