It’s been six years since Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian was robbed during Paris Fashion Week in 2016. As we know now, Kardashian was able to heal from the trauma of the dangerous event. However, at the time, the mother of four had complicated feelings. One on hand, she was grateful escaped the crime scene with her life. On the other, she was petrified that such an event can happen again at any time.

During her appearance on David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction back in 2020, she expressed:

"I definitely took a year where I got really paranoid of people knowing my whereabouts. I didn’t even want to go to a restaurant, because I thought someone will know I’m at this restaurant. They’ll take a picture, they’ll send it, they’ll know my house is open, they’ll know that my kids are there. […] I was just really scared of everything. I can’t sleep at night unless there’s half a dozen security guards at my house, and that has just become my reality and that’s okay."

Thankfully, Kim Kardashian was able to put this situation behind her and move on. However, the culprit behind the robbery is doing the same. Only, he is going about it in a much different and more heartless manner.

Why did Yunis Abbas rob Kim Kardashian?

The New York Post reports that Yunis Abbas, the thief who served two years in jail for his crimes against Kim Kardashian, feels little to no remorse about what he did. In fact, he believes had she been “a little less showy” with her riches, he wouldn’t have ever targeted her.

“Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that,” Abbas expressed. “Guilty? No, I don’t care.”

Abbas’ stance remains unchanged even after hearing how traumatized Kardashian has been since 2016. Once again, he notes that the fault was all hers.

“They should be a little less showy towards people who can’t afford it. For some people, it’s provocative,” he added. “You don’t come out of it unscathed. Of course, she must have been traumatized.”

How does Kim Kardashian feel about Yunis Abbas’s response?

As of today, Kim Kardashian hasn’t said a word about Yunis Abbas’ nonchalant attitude towards her horrifying robbery. Being that she has since put the past behind her, it’s possible she may never respond. But, on the off chance that she does, we will be sure to let you know.
