Kendall Jenner has a lot to say when it comes to facing negative attention.
Whether it’s from fans who simply want them to understand their problematic behavior or former friends who seek to throw the blame on the celebrities for their misfortune, the Kardashian-Jenner family is always under constant scrutiny. Initially, this wasn’t too much of a disadvantage, as in some cases, bad press is better than no press. However, once the millions of comments started to grow slanderous, the family of celebrities had a hard time dealing.
Here’s what Kendall Jenner had to say.
How Kendall Jenner feels about her family’s reputation
E! News reports that Jay Setty sat down to interview Kendall Jenner on his show, Jay Setty Podcast. There, she and the podcaster discussed self-esteem, self-worth, and what they believe is the true key to happiness. Safe to say for Jenner, the first step to joy is to ignore what the haters say.
“There so many false narratives. So many people think they have you figured out when they don’t even know the half of it,” Jenner expressed. “It can feel really unfair because that is not who I am. That can really get to me sometimes and that really sucks. But then looking at myself in the mirror and being like I know who I am, so why does anything else matter?”
From Kourtney Kardashian dismissing fans who constantly believe she’s pregnant to Kylie Jenner standing her ground against TikTokers who think everything she does is manufactured, the famous sisters have spoken up against annoying gossip.
But when it came to Kendall Jenner, she’s seldom addressed the buzz, as she has always been a private and low-key person. Still, she’s privy to the many hurtful rumors about herself and her career as a model, which could explain why she reached burnout at such a young age.
“There a core five years where I was extremely overworked, not my happiest and I felt like I was saying yes to everything because I felt really grateful to be in the position I was in,” Jenner continued. “I just wasn’t happy anymore so I had to set those boundaries for myself.”
Hopefully, the public respects these boundaries, but if not, we’re sure that Jenner will continue to find a way to block out the noise and prioritize her happiness.
“You can disagree with me. You can agree with me. That’s not going anywhere. I’m not changing. I’m not shifting,” Jenner stated. “I always live by holding my happiness and not letting anyone else affect it.”
