Khloe Kardashian reveals she had to have a tumor removed on her face

As of late, fans have grown exceedingly curious about the mysterious bandage on Khloe Kardashian‘s face.

When the bandage first made its appearance, fans thought it was to cover up a blemish or pimple of some sort. Later, when Khloe sported the bandage again at Balenciaga‘s show during Paris Fashion Week, fans believed it was because she was following the bruised/battered theme; the same theme that was also executed by the likes of Doja Cat and Kanye West on the red carpet.

However, now that Paris Fashion Week has come and gone, fans’ curiosities turned into endless worries, as the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was still spotted out and about with the bandage.

Fortunately, to ease everyone’s worry, Khloe Kardashian took to her Instagram to give a much-needed update about what’s happening.

NBC News reports that Khloe Kardashian’s bandage was used to cover up the location where she had to get a suspicious tumor removed. The celebrity shared that she, too, thought the bump on her face was a pimple at first, but when the marking failed to disappear, she decided to take a trip to the doctor, a decision that may have saved her life.

“After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging,” Khloe wrote on her Instagram story. “A few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumor from my face. I’m grateful to share that Dr. Fisher was able to get everything — all my margins appear clear and now we are onto the healing process.”

Continuing with her moving story, Khloe Kardashian made it a point to remind everyone to get routine exams from a medical professional to prevent cases like her own.

“PS I am only sharing this story with you so I can remind everyone to get checked, and frequently,” she expressed. “I am someone who wears sunscreen every single day, religiously so no one is exempt from these things. Please take this seriously and do regular self-exams as well as your annual checkups.”

Needless to say, we are glad Kardashian was able to receive the help she needed to have the tumor removed, but we are even more overjoyed that she used her platform to raise awareness for a crucial topic. We can’t help but appreciate her efforts and wish her all the best on her recovery journey.
