Kendall Jenner is clearing up rumors one episode at a time.

On the latest episode of The Kardashians, In Style reports Jenner took the time to explain a few false beliefs the world has about her. Specifically, the misunderstanding that she is a mean girl beneath all the glitz and glam. This couldn’t be any farther from the truth, apparently.

“I think one [misconception] that I guess hurts the most is that people think I’m a mean girl,” Jenner said. “‘Cause that’s just not the case. It can be upsetting when someone is questioning your character, and if only people knew me!”

It’s unclear where or how these rumors began, but what is clear is that social media may need to take a step back and question the validity of the perception they have of Kendall Jenner. But unfortunately, this may prove to be easier said than done, as there are loads of evidence out there that reaffirm why these allegations exist.

Is Kendall Jenner mean?

Though we (along with her die-hard fans) believe she’s a sweetheart, others seem to need a little more proof of Jenner’s niceness. We believe this is because there are always out-of-context videos of Jenner being either “snappy” or “rude” circulating on social media.

One video, in particular, that has caused some stir on TikTok comes from Hulu’s Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons. In the popular video, Jenner can be seen looking rather unenthused taking a picture of herself for an individual before later handing back the phone and then rolling her eyes. This excerpt alluded to the idea that Jenner is a cold person, hence why the comments weren’t too forgiving.

“Like, who does she think she is? She’s there because of her sister and mom. Never liked her,” one user wrote. Another user held the same feelings, stating, “Kendall always gave me incredibly mean vibes.”

The model does indeed appear to be snappy in the video. But that’s the point. The 2021 documentary was meant to depict the ugly truths behind Victoria’s Secret. Particularly, the mistreatment of its employees.

“If y’all watched the documentary maybe then you’d see how miserable those girls were,” one TikTok user chimed in. “She probably hadn’t ate or slept for hours.”

“There [are] so many false narratives. So many people think they have you figured out when they don’t even know the half of it,” Jenner expressed on the Jay Setty Podcast. “It can feel really unfair because that is not who I am. That can really get to me sometimes and that really sucks. But then looking at myself in the mirror and being like I know who I am, so why does anything else matter?”

Hopefully, moving forward, the world can extend a little grace to Kendall Jenner. After all, we all have off days and unfortunately, aren’t always in the best mood 24/7. But that’s okay because that’s what it means to be a human being.
