Khloe Kardashian wants to let the world know she can do bad all by herself. And the first person she doesn’t mind telling this to is none other than her ex-partner, Tristan Thompson.
E! News reports that Khloe made it a point to tell Tristan that she doesn’t need him to pay for their daughter’s True Thompson birthday party because of reasons close and personal to herself. However, she understands how the public (and even her loved ones) could take this the wrong way, which is why she took the time to break down why she would rather be able to pay for her children’s wants and needs all by herself.
Khloe Kardashian calls out Tristan Thompson
During the latest episode of The Kardashians season 2, Tristan Thompson tried to pay for True’s fourth birthday party. However, Khloe refused this kind gesture, preferring to take the lead herself.
“Tristan called me and he said that he privately went ahead and took care of the whole party,” Kris Jenner relayed to Khloe. The Good American co-founder replied, “That’s nice but I won’t let that happen.”
She later added in the confessional, “I work really hard to do elaborate things for True and I don’t need anyone’s help.”
It’s understandable why Khloe thinks this way. After all, being that Tristan is traveling the nation with his basketball team, Khloe is the primary caregiver for True for a considerable amount of time a year. Whether this means providing most of the living arrangements for the toddler or simply taking her to places every day, Khloe does it all. Relinquishing some financial control to Tristan may be a conversation that she’s not yet ready to have.
“I don’t know if Tristan was here today, if that would add more stress to me,” Khloe expressed. “We do co-parent really well but I haven’t seen Tristan in person since before Christmas time.”
Perhaps in future episodes, we will learn more about how Khloe Kardashian will navigate the specifics of her and Tristan Thompson’s co-parenting relationship. Until then, we will continue to hope that the celebrities find some middle ground that works for them both.
