Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally settle child custody as divorce finalizes

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are done — for good.

People Magazine reports that the prolonged separation between the two celebrities has finally come to an end after nearly two years of back-and-forth conversations and settlements regarding custody of their four children.

What Kim Kardashian gained in divorce from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s stance on joint custody of the four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, remains unchanged, meaning the children will divide their time evenly between both of their parents’ houses. The celebrities also agreed on their stance on spousal support; neither of the two wealthy celebrities will need the financial support of the other to fund their respective lifestyles — outside of their children, that is.

As part of the finalization, the court ordered Kanye West to pay a total of $200,000 a month in child support. And although we know each celebrity has joint custody, it’s safe to assume Kardashian will be the primary caregiver, seeing that she isn’t the one ordered to pay the monthly child support fees.

Surprisingly, West has yet to break his silence on the matter of his divorce being finalized and his whopping child support payments. Neither has Kardashian. But, of course, their respective fandoms have a lot to say about the long-awaited outcome.

“Why would he, a billionaire, have to pay her a billionaire if both have custody?” a fan stated in support of West. A fan supportive fan also wrote, “Nah, Kanye got his *preference*, and now he has to keep up that lifestyle for those kids. They’re not ordinary kids. They need security, etc. Kanye’s just made a string of terrible decisions. ‘A fool and his money are soon parted.’—Proverbs 21:20.”

Some fans went so far as to throw West’s “Gold Digger” lyrics back at him.

We’ll soon know what else Kanye West is ordered to relinquish in the divorce. We’ll know the same for Kim Kardashian as well. For now, it seems like a long road ahead for every party involved.
