Kourtney Kardashian regains energy after dropping IVF treatments
For the first time in nearly a year, Kourtney Kardashian feels like her old, energetic self again. This is due to dropping IVF treatments, which Kourtney opened up about on the first season of Hulu’s docuseries The Kardashians. She and her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker have been trying to expand their family.
In an IG Story post, Kourtney shared a snap of herself on Saturday, January 7th, while in a heavy workout session.
“11:10 AM. Mornings with @donamatrixtraining almost a year after last IVF attempt, energy finally back,” Kourtney quoted in the post while donning yellow punching gloves and hitting the punching bag.
The 43-year-old reality star, mom of three (Reign, Penelope, and Mason with ex Scott Disick), stepmother to Travis’s two children (Alabama and Landon with ex-wife Shanna Moakler), and Poosh founder has been nothing but transparent with it came to wanting to be a mother again. Through her challenging journey, Kourtney hoped it helped other desired moms-to-be who are going through the same process. As it gets harder for a woman over forty to get pregnant due to hormonal changes, Kourtney’s doctor suggested she do the IVF route.
"“Travis and I want to have a baby, and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF.It hasn’t been the most amazing experience.” -Kourtney Kardashian on The Kardashians."
In May of 2022, Kourtney and Travis put their baby wishes on hold while they planned out and hosted their Italian wedding. If anyone is counting
During The Kardashians‘ first season, Kourtney documented the egg retrieval process as part of the IVF treatment plan. Unfortunately, the egg did not take, but it did not dissuade the newlyweds from trying. However, while Kourtney has been open about her dream of family expansion, especially now that she has found her soul mate in Travis, it did not stop people from commenting on her apparent weight gain on social media. In response, Kourtney clapped back against the negativity by explaining that IVF medication can cause weight gain and early-onset menopause.
Aside from the ridicule, if anything came out of Kourtney’s and Travis’s family planning, it strengthened their love and relationship.
