Sadly, Tristan Thompson‘s mother, Andrea, suddenly passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, after suffering from a heart attack.
The Kardashian-Jenner family has since poured out their unconditional love for the Thompson family by being by their side every step of the way. Notably, Khloe Kardashian, the ex-girlfriend of Tristan Thompson and mother of two of the NBA athlete’s children, took a trip to Toronto, Canada, to show support during this hard time. She was accompanied by her elder sister, Kim Kardashian, and, according to ET Online, Kris Jenner, who were both invited to attend a private, intimate funeral.
As for the remaining Kardashian-Jenner family members, unfortunately, they weren’t able to visit Canada so soon. However, it’s safe to say that Jenner spoke for every family member when she took to her Instagram to send her condolences, letting the world know how much Andrea meant to their family.
Kris Jenner speaks out about Tristan Thompson’s mother’s death
“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea,” Jenner wrote on her post. “My thoughts, prayers and all of my love are with Tristan, Amari, Dishawn and Daniel. You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!!”
She added, “I will miss you Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel 🙏❤️.”
In addition to her moving caption, Jenner showcased her many memories with Andrea, including the time they both attended Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s baby shower for their first-born child, True Thompson.
Neither Tristan Thompson nor Khloe Kardashian seems to be ready to open up about this tough time. But fans want the celebrities to know that they are by their sides every step of the way.
“Sending prayers for Tristan’s family. Losing someone that close is the worst feeling in the world,” one NBA Reddit fan. Another fan stated, “My deepest condolences to him. While I know about parental loss, I didnt lose them that young. RIP to her.”
One fan even reflected on a beautiful moment they had with Andrea Thompson in the past.
“This will get buried but back in the day I played travel ball with Tristan in Toronto and his mom showed up to every practice and every game and was always super passionate,” one comment read. “This is super sad. RIP.”
