Although her set was remarkable, there was something a little different with Rihanna’s performance that fans took notice of.
As this was her first stage performance since 2016, Rih had a lot of “work” to make her comeback perfect. She elaborated on her goals with Apple Music ahead of the Super Bowl.
“As scary as that was, because I haven’t been on stage in seven years. There’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all, and it’s important for me to do this year. It’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.”
Between her hit songs, “Diamonds,” “Umbrella,” and “Work,” and others, the Grammy winner was seen cradling her belly, hinting that she could be expecting. Furthermore, her choreography was toned down as she was very active on stage in the past. Fans and watchers made social media speculations, and The Hollywood Reporter, among many outlets, confirmed the news of Rihanna’s 2nd pregnancy on Sunday evening, right after her performance.
This will be her second child with rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple shares a nine-month-old son born on May 13th, 2022. In December, Rihanna posted a TikTok of her baby boy smiling at her. His name has not been revealed as of this writing.
