Famed Blink-182 drummer and the husband of Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker, headed to surgery on February 28th to repair a finger injury.  Travis updated his fanbase with the concern surrounding his broken finger on February 8th.  He then reinjured the same finger again on February 19th.  According to Barker, he injured himself twice during band practice and can be seen wearing a brace in one photo with Kourtney as they enjoy a day together in Southern California.  As it turns out, his finger injury is more severe than initially thought.

In a video on his most current Instagram posts, the drummer is getting his fingers examined by a doctor.  The examination looks painful as the doctor checks the dexterity of his fingers.  When asked if there was any discomfort in the finger, Travis confirmed, ” Yeah.  It’s painful.”  Days before, he shared an X-ray photo of the disjointed and swollen finger.

Kourtney dropped a line of prayer hands and a red heart, which showed her undying love and support for her husband in the comments section.

While Travis had his share of “medical scares,” this could not have come at a worse time.  Starting March 11th, Blink-182 is scheduled to go on a World Tour, headlining with Chicago-based hard rock band Rise Against.  This would be Blink’s first tour since 2005, with all three original members-Mark Hoppus, Tom Delonge, and Travis Barker himself.  How the latter’s post-surgery will affect touring is undetermined whether he will be available to participate.  The tour extends until late February 2024, with their last stop in Christchurch, New Zealand.

How Kourtney helped Travis Barker with flying

In 2008, Travis was one of two survivors of a plane crash.  The terrifying experience left Travis with Survivor’s Guilt, PTSD, and an embodiment of other gripping aftereffects.  The two pilots and his two close friends perished, leaving Travis and DJ AM the only survivors.  Unfortunately, DJ AM died a year later from a drug overdose, worsening Travis’s healing.  While the punk-rocker always feared flying, he swore he would never step on foot a plane again.

Until over a decade later.

His wife, Kourtney Kardashian, helped him overcome his fear of flying.  In August 2021, Travis hopped on Kylie’s private jet with The Kardashians star, her mother Kris, and her boyfriend Corey Gamble to Cabo St. Lucas, Mexico.  He practiced breathing exercises the night before the trip to help prepare him for the flight.  He also credited Kourtney for his first successful flight and the many he has taken with her.   In an interview with Nylon from 2021, Travis gushed about how the Poosh founder and mom of three makes him feel “invincible.”

“I’m invincible when I’m with her. It’s like I never dreamed.  I never even considered flying again.

And when you are part of one of the most famous families on earth, you know there will be heavy jet-setting.  And yes, Kourtney helped Travis with that too.

I made a deal with her that she had just said to me, ‘I would love to do so much traveling with you. I want to go to Italy with you. I want to go to Cabo with you. I want to go to Paris with you.  I want to go to Bora Bora with you.” And I said, “Well when the day comes you want to fly, I’m telling you I’ll do it with you. I would do anything with you.  And just give me 24 hours’ notice.’ And that’s what she did.”

We wish Travis a speedy recovery and many more trips with Kourtney.
