Kim Kardashian will attend the Met Gala in May

Kim Kardashian will attend one of fashion’s most prominent events next month, the Met Gala, despite original reporting from Page Six that “No Kardashians made the cut.” Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour is in charge of the invite list, who to invite and who not to invite.

Now, the outlet confirms the reality star will attend the Met on May 2nd, but no word as of late if any of her other family members will be at the New York event. Last year, the five Kardashian-Jenner sisters and their mother, Kris Jenner, attended the event as a family affair. For the eldest sister Kourtney, it was her first time walking the Gala carpet, and her new husband, Travis Barker, was by her side.  It was the same for Khloe, who attended for the first time, despite being previously invited. The Good American founder explained during a confessional on The Kardashians she “opted not to go,” and red carpets are not her type of thing.

Kim helped her younger sister through the anxiety and even allowed her Glam Squad to give Khloe the complete treatment.

Kim made the headlines at the 2022 Met Gala when she wore the original “Birthday” dress worn by Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not allowed the SKIMS founder to borrow the crystal-adorned gown and lost sixteen pounds to fit into it. Kim only wore the dress for the red carpet, then changed into a replica for the rest of the evening.

In the past, the beauty mogul dressed in some impressive designer outfits. For her first attendance at the Met Ball in 2013 (She went with ex-husband Ye), Kim wore a floral print Givenchy dress. She was pregnant with her first child then, so the fabric was stretchy and allowed freeing movement.

This year’s prestigious gathering will happen on Monday, May 2nd, at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme has been decided as “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” which will celebrate the iconic designer’s reign in the fashion industry. The German-born Lagerfeld propelled Kendall Jenner’s modeling career in her early days when she first began. Now the 27-year-old has walked the runways for several fashion houses, including Chanel, Prada, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Kim will likely wear something extraordinary this year, and we cannot wait to see her appearance and maybe the rest of her family’s.
