Kim turned heads once again in her pearl gown at the 2023 Met Gala. The socialite opted for the water gems as it represents Karl and his work’s legacy. The dress was designed by Schiaparelli and had more than 60,000 pearls (freshwater and crystal) that dangled from her SKIMS slip underneath. The media queen topped it off with a floor-length cape, matching heels, and a diamond and pearl multi-strand choker.

Inside the ball, Kim met up with her ex, Pete Davidson and Usher, who she had seen in the past two weekends at his Las Vegas concerts.

On the way to and from the Gala, pearls popped off Kim’s gown, which caused a “fashion mishap.” Her daughter North was quick to scoop them up and put them in her purse.

Kim Kardashian and her younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner are a couple of the confirmed guests. The theme is Karl Lagerfeld and his years in fashion. Recently, Kim shared an Instagram post with the late designer’s cat, Choupette.

“Had a date with @choupetteofficiel in Paris,” Kim wrote for her post. “We then spent some time at @karllagerfeld’s office to get a little inspiration for the Met“.
