Kourtney Kardashian is absolutely beaming as she anticipates the arrival of her fourth child and her and Travis Barker’s first. The Lemme founder is taking all necessary care to ensure her baby’s best health and hers so that their bond will be unbreakable. As Kourtney is 44 (43 when she conceived), there are escalating risks, but there is also joy as you’re about to welcome a new life.
The Kardashians personality announced her ‘miracle’ pregnancy on Friday, June 16th, during the blink-182 concert by holding up a sign with “TRAVIS. I’M PREGNANT” written in bold, black letters.
That is one concert that will be in the memory books.
And when it came to the gender reveal party Kourtney and Travis hosted on Saturday, June 24th, the couple felt the greatest joy. As the couple kissed, Travis did a drumroll which “ignited” the cannons, and a blast of blue streamers and confetti imploded, unveiling that their child will be a baby boy.
Cheers from the crowd soon followed the reveal.
The guests, including sister Khloé and Kris Jenner, are excited about becoming an aunt and grandmother again. The latter even reposted Kourtney’s gender reveal video, saying that she “can’t wait to meet this beautiful grandchild!! What a blessing!!!!!!”
Kourtney and her planning team went all out and above when it came to piecing together the special event. On Sunday, June 25th, the Poosh founder did just that as she took her followers on a “tour” of the party’s behind-the-scenes via Instagram Stories.
Going with a punk-rock theme, Kourtney incorporated these elements throughout.
First, she began with a walk-through, starting with the outdoor entryway (to the Guns ‘n’ Roses song, “Sweet Child of Mine“), where guests can pick up “Baby Barker” lanyards linked with backstage passes, choose a blue or pink wristband, and check out the colorful “Baby Barker World Tour” poster, which matches the passes. For favors, guests can take 1990s-styled disposable cameras where they could snap precious moments. If they wanted to write down a congratulatory word, they can do so with the provided black pens and paper slips under a framed note stating “Tour Memories.”
Inside the foyer of the couple’s Calabasas home, Kourtney went on theme with black heart balloons, black-lit candles, and drum cases. For a sweet-smelling vibe, Baby’s Breath, or gypsophila, topped the round tables near crystal champagne glasses.
For refreshments, there were several options, including the vegan versions of popular backyard party treats, crunchy nachos, fresh fruit, Asian bites, and a blue-filled round cake with ivory fondant dotted with tiny black hearts. Personal chef Khristianne Uy, or Chef K LA, prepared all of the delicious foods. As an added perk, black and white decorated sugar cookies shaped in hearts and microphones with “Mom” printed on them gave the party that extra “oomph.”
For the party look, Kourtney went comfy-casual with a light blue flowing dress with a leather belt and opened-toed sandals, saying in her Stories at the time she had the “Mommy’s Instinct.” However, she already knew her child’s gender already; the blue look was a hint for her guests.
Before the festivities, Kourtney’s morning was calmer. Her 10-year-old daughter, Penelope Disick, pushed their two pups with her 8-year-old son, Reign, in a covered dog stroller.
The day after, the Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami alum showed the after-party mess of her backyard with streamers draping everywhere.
Must have been some sweet party.
