Kim Kardashian takes her glam team to DMV for photo op
Kim Kardashian knows how to snap the perfect photo, even when taking one for her driver’s license. The SKIMS founder did precisely that on the newest episode of The Kardashians. She brought her glam team, hairstylist Chris Appleton and makeup artist Ariel Tejada to the DMV of Beverly Hills for license renewal. When she was just sixteen years old, Kim entered the same DMV for her first license, and her father, Robert Kardashian, gifted her with a BMW for her birthday.
Now that she’s about to hit 42, Kim has a new life page in her book and dreams to go along with it. And a new driver’s license photo.
“This is the most important photo you’ll ever take in your life,” says the mom of four when looking at the show’s crew cameras and her team doing their magic on her hair and makeup, who made sure that she was picture-perfect.
And her birthday wishes are something we all pretty much desire because who wants unacceptable drama in their lives?
“My hopes for 42-year-old Kim is that I really just wanna have fun; I want peace. I want calmness. I want good vibes. Yeah, everything. I want the whole world,” the KKW beauty founder revealed in her confessional.
Kim walks into the DMV just before closing hours, and Chris and Ariel get her ready before she can snap her photo. This would be considered unusual for the average person, but when you’re Kim Kardashian, you must always look your best, even for a government-issued photo.
“I really just want it to look good,” she admitted in the episode. “Like, why not bring a light and glam team? It’s definitely crazy, but I don’t care.”
As it has been five years since her last license registration, Kim had to reapply for it, and there was some debate regarding her height.
By the way, Kim’s 5’2, but we tend to stretch the truth on our IDs, so no big deal.
The reality star wore a black bodysuit, flip-flops, and biker shorts for her photo; her blond hair parted to the sides. After some finishing touches from Appleton, Kim protested a little before DMV employee Bianca clicked the camera.
When the first shot didn’t suit Kim, even asking if it was possible to save the photo, do a retake, then compare them side-by-side, Bianca snapped a second pic, which was “snatched,” according to Kim.
“We work with many photographers [all] the time, Bianca. And you, you got the shot,” Appleton praised the hardworking DMV employee, who replied with a chuckle.
The Kardashians drops every Thursday on Hulu.
