Kourtney Kardashian is officially going by her new name-Kourtney Kardashian Barker. The Poosh founder gave her followers and the curious a look at her Californian driver’s license, or a copy, which included a black-and-white rectangle photo with her name underneath.

Say my name,” Kourtney captioned the June 29th Instagram post, informing the world of her new moniker.

When a follower made a snide comment about the name change, saying that the mom of four wouldn’t “give up” her maiden of Kardashian, Kourtney quickly explained her decision.

I am Kourtney Barker,” she told the follower. “My middle name is Kardashian. It’s a very traditional way of doing it.

By the way, Kourtney shared her license post a day after Kim renewed her license in the newest The Kardashians episode. It might have been an intentional jab at her sister or a coincidence, but hey, they both looked good in their photos.

And while the reality personality may have legally changed her name when she and Travis at the courthouse vows, she felt it was necessary now to address her with her married name. It might be partially because the couple is expecting their first child together, a boy, and Kourtney wants connection with her husband. In a portrait post uploaded by Kourtney, Travis “leaked” that he knew their baby’s name.

I already know his name,” the blink-182 drummer commented alongside the carousel.

On Saturday, July 1st, Kourtney shared a photo (per Instagram Stories) of her holding Travis’s hand, her large-stone engagement on full display. The photo was followed by another snap, an elevator mirror selfie of the new mama-to-be giving a peek of her growing bump taken at his tour stop in Denver, Colorado.

The Kardashian name is a rooted family legacy

Kourtney had a close relationship with her late father, Robert Kardashian, and was given his wedding band before her Portofino ceremony.

Her sisters, Kim and Khloé, also had Kardashian as their middle name when they married their respective partners. From 2014 to their finalized divorce in 2022, Kim was married to rapper Kanye West. The union gave them four children. Khloé, for her part, was married to LA Lakers player Lamar Odom from 2009 to 2016. Although the former couple had no children, they were given a Keeping Up With Kardashians spinoff, Khloé and Lamar. The show lasted for two seasons.

As for Kourtney and Travis’s child, an insider told People, “Everyone is so happy for her. Kourtney can’t wait to be a mom again.”
