Why Kim Kardashian has regrets over Pete Davidson romance
Kim Kardashian opened up regarding her 9-month romance with Pete Davidson on the July 20th episode of The Kardashians. While talking with her two youngest sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the SKIMS founds looks back on her relationship with the Saturday Night Live star.
For clarity, Kim linked up with Pete amid her messy divorce from Kanye West. While she was happy with Pete, she now regrets that it was too soon to date. Additionally, it placed much pressure on Pete as Kenye was harassing him over social media.
“I [definitely] jumped into another relationship so fast,” the reality personality revealed to Kendall and Kylie inside her home. “It got my mind away from stuff, and that’s not a way to run from things. It’s better to heal; that’s a good one, deal, heal, feel.”
Deal, heal, and feel.
Another element Kim mentioned was how her four children adored their father, despite his problematic behavior. Yet, she won’t take their relationship away just because she’s “angry” with their dad. She blocks any bad news from the kids as she doesn’t want to fracture their perspectives of Kanye. Doing so has been challenging because news quickly spreads.
“After all the mean things that he has done, the kids have no clue,” the KUWTK elaborates. “They don’t know a thing. They think [that] their dad is the best thing and the most amazing thing, and he’s so great with them. Why would I take that away from them because I’m angry? I have a lot to be angry at, but they don’t know that.”
Since the divorce, Kim revealed that she is “finally at peace” and has even tried to “purge” out the storage units, filled with stuff she accumulated over the years. Some items are a pair of ridiculously gold high heels, clothing, and a massive Yeezy shoe collection. The mom of three plans on donating some of the stuff, passing them down to her kids, and saving her favorite ones. She confessed she’s a memory hoarder, hence keeping many of her ex’s things.
“I love my life, but it’s time to do something different, and I just need a minute. It’s [like] the memories. It’s sad.”
