The Kardashians come together for grandmother MJ Houghton’s birthday
The Kardashians and the Jenners celebrated an extraordinary lady’s birthday. MJ Houghton, who turned 89 on July 26th, is the mother of Kris Jenner, the grandmother to her six kids, and great-grandmother of thirteen, counting Kourtney Kardashian’s upcoming arrival of her baby boy.
Through Instagram (where else?) Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kris posted personal photos with MJ and lengthy, meaningful captions. Through their words, the women praised the original family matriarch for her “guidance, love, compassion,” and “focus.”
The SKIMS CEO was a day late on her post, but she had a good reason. She was “living in the moment” with her grandmother, calling her a “true pillar of strength.”
In the snap, Kim sits next to MJ in the same chair. The dark-haired beauty wore a black scooped neck top, beige skirt, and black strapped stiletto booties. On the other hand, her grandmother is wearing a brown silk dress, matching tights, and leopard pumps.
Khloé shared a carousel of pictures honoring MJ from when she was a baby, a young woman, and now. The first snap is at MJ’s birthday party with a pregnant Kourtney and Kris in the back. The Good American founder wrote that “every single moment turns into a precious memory” that she’ll “cherish forever.”
Lastly, Kris uploaded her post, mainly containing throwbacks, but the love is still ingrained. The Safely founder thanked MJ for the sacrifices, lessons, kindness, understanding, humor, focus, and others over the years. Kris even thanked her mother for making a home and building a family.
On Mother’s Day this year, Kris dedicated the day to MJ and her daughters, calling herself “a very lucky girl” with her blessings.
