Kim Kardashian is well-known for her fashion sense and beauty regimen, but she loves trying new styles when she travels abroad. In Tokyo, the mom of four had fun with the local culture with her oldest, North West.
During a recent trip to the land of the “Rising Red Sun,” Kim dressed up in a white silk kimono with a metallic cummerbund, matching Tabi socks, and Geta sandals. Her dark hair was up in a messy twist with silvery chopsticks to match the ensemble.
North, Penelope Disick, and Tracy Romulus’s daughter Ryan were the photographers for the day as they captured each stylish image after the next, using an iPhone and ring lights. They followed her throughout the hotel suite as Kim did a few different poses for her photoshoot.
The SKIMS founder showed off her daughter’s creativity by uploading the photos on her Instagram page. For the caption, Kim added a white heart and kimono emojis.
Kim and North have been building up their relationship while in Tokyo, as the latter gave her mother a special letter, saying how much she loves her and her gratitude. Not only did the reality star receive a note, but a pair of Levi’s with her children’s doodles and words on them for this year’s Mother’s Day present. While Kim has access to the world’s finest things, it’s the ones that come from the heart that suit her best.
Tokyo is one of the Kardashian family’s favorite places to travel as the country is rich in cuisine (sushi and ramen!), activities, shopping, and scenic landscapes. On their last holiday to Japan’s capital in March, Kim and her little ones enjoyed visiting a hedgehog cafe, the Sanrio Store, and absorbing the sights.
