Freeform releases 31 Nights of Halloween schedule-see the lineup!
Freeform has gotten an early start on the Spooky Season by releasing its 31 Nights of Halloween schedule. Now in its 25th year, the lineup offers everyone plenty of tricks and treats. If Freeform isn’t your cup of pumpkin latte, there’ll be other just as spooky options!
Freeform, a Disney subsidiary, dedicates the entire month of October (all 31 days!) to Halloween by airing themed movies, specials, and even stuff for the Halloween-loving adult. This year, 31 Nights will have some epic premieres, classics, and The Simpsons’ “Tree House of Horror” episodes because, you know, “Treehouse of Horror” is a Halloween must.
The Salem witches will be brewing the spirits in Hocus Pocus as the 1993 comedy celebrates its 30th anniversary and will constantly rotate on the 31 Nights schedule. If you want more of Winnie, Mary, and Sarah, you can check out the 2022 sequel, Hocus Pocus 2, only on Disney+!
Which means more of Binx the Cat and magic spells!
Then, the toys come alive in Toy Story of Terror!, where Woody and his friends must save Jessie from a menacing motel owner and make new friends along the way. If you want even more Disney content, Monsters Inc. and its sequel, Monsters Inc. University, will air through 31 Nights.
Another movie not to miss is Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington grows bored with Halloween in this beautifully made stop animation and accidently finds Christmas while trekking in the woods. Excitedly, he tries to replace the spooky holiday with the chilly one, but his plans are disastrous.

Turn off the lights, get your big bowl of candy (or fruit, also known as “nature’s candy”), and costume up as your favorite whatever, or whoever, and be mystified by 31 Nights of Halloween.

If the Freeform event isn’t for you, other Halloween picks can be just as enjoyable. Hulu will have its annual Huluween, now in its sixth year. Premiering on Huluween this week will be American Horror Story 12: Delicate Part One. Kim Kardashian will be making her AHS debut as Siobhan Corbyn and starring alongside Emma Roberts.
Another great pick is The Other Black Girl (Hulu), where a young writer named Nella meets the newest addition, Hazel, at her publishing firm, only to discover Hazel has more sinister intentions.
If you want something scary but not Halloween-themed, check out the thriller I’ll Be Watching, starring The 100 alum Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley. The film centers around a married but dysfunctional couple who move to the countryside to have peace of mind after a horrible tragedy. When her husband Marcus (Morley) “leaves” on a business trip, Julie (Taylor) fears she is being targeted inside her home. It’s humanity versus technology, and it doesn’t get more scarier than that.
