Khloé Kardashian is sharing her post-cancer journey and praising her doctor, Dr. Garth Fischer, for saving her life.

Khloé Kardashian took a moment on Instagram on Tuesday (September 19th) to detail her post-cancer journey. In case you missed it, the Good American founder had a facial tumor surgically removed last year that was detected as precancerous melanoma. Her experience was documented during The Kardashians‘ third season.

In her Instagram Stories, Khloé highlighted how the removal left an indentation on her cheek through selfies. After nine months of waiting and getting the medical all-clear, she filled the indentation. In one of the photos, the mom of two used an arrow to point to the indentation but was so “incredibly grateful” to the doctors.

Not that we needed the arrow to show the huge indentation on the side of my face, but because we had to remove a tumor from my cheek, I was left an indentation,” she says. “I am definitely not complaining because I would rather have an indentation than melanoma any day. I am so incredibly grateful to all the doctors who helped and continue to help me on my skin cancer journey.”

Khloé then shared a six-photo grid of post-surgery, revealing stitches measuring four centimeters down her cheek. As the photos progressed, the stitches were removed, and an indentation took their place. In the last image, the indentation is ready to be filled, a goal Khloé desired to achieve. She couldn’t have it without the support of her “Armenian tribe,” who helped with the cosmetic filling in the indentation and worked “wonders” for the completed result.

What Khloé initially believed was a harmless zit turned out to be worse. For Dr. Garth Fischer’s life-saving dedication and work, the reality star gave nothing but the utmost praise for him.

My angel @drgarthmd is who I trusted with removing the tumor. Dr. Fischer is out of this world fabulous! Not only did he remove the tumor and made sure that I am completely cancer-free, but he did a (expletive) stellar job [of] making my scar as small and beautiful as possible! Thank you so much, Garth! You know that I adore you!

Lastly, Khloé urged her followers to get screened for cancer as no one is exempt from the disease.

Did Khloé Kardashian have cancer in the past?

At only nineteen years old, Khloé had a mole removed from her back that tested positive for melanoma. According to her now-defunct website, she revealed that she had eight inches of skin removed, making the ordeal extremely painful.

Now she’s cancer-free, she can continue living her life to the fullest.
